Internal Security – ADOL Employees

Alabama Department of Labor employees can report incidents of suspected fraud so that reviews are conducted. A review helps ensure that polices and procedures are being followed.

The Internal Security Division (ISEC) performs the following functions for the Alabama Department Of Labor.

Monitors daily operations of the Unemployment Compensation (UC) program with the objective of preventing abuse, waste and fraud.
Furnishes security to data processing operations by maintaining UC input passwords and user-id systems.
Conducts criminal background checks on all prospective Alabama Department of Labor employees.
Conducts examinations in all central office and field offices to appraise the adequacy and application of established policies, procedures and methods.
Conducts investigations of alleged security breaches or violations of policy and procedure.
Assists various prosecutors in the development of Unemployment Compensation, and various other cases.
