Internal Security – ADOL Employees
Alabama Department of Labor employees can report incidents of suspected fraud so that reviews are conducted. A review helps ensure that polices and procedures are being followed.
The Internal Security Division (ISEC) performs the following functions for the Alabama Department Of Labor.
- Monitors daily operations of the Unemployment Compensation (UC) program with the objective of preventing abuse, waste and fraud.
- Furnishes security to data processing operations by maintaining UC input passwords and user-id systems.
- Conducts criminal background checks on all prospective Alabama Department of Labor employees.
- Conducts examinations in all central office and field offices to appraise the adequacy and application of established policies, procedures and methods.
- Conducts investigations of alleged security breaches or violations of policy and procedure.
- Assists various prosecutors in the development of Unemployment Compensation, and various other cases.
